Obama Is Now the President

as far as foreign policy gos i have very small expectations for the man. keeping on robert gates and david petraeus to work the war in afghanistan shows he plans on fighting it in the same fashion bush was working with. which isnt necessarily too bad because now the have what may be a winning strategy. im not talking about the surge as much as i am talking about opening channels of communication and cutting deals with leaders of armed groups, warlords, etc.

i do think its worth noting the plan for and the eventual withdrawl of troops was something that started under bushes watch before we start giving barry the credit for something bound to happen. as far as the iran issue gos, i expect more talks , and eventuall some type of agreement on tehrans nuclear program. if this doesnt happen before 2009 is up, i can see the eventual israeli attack which obama will condemn and do nothing about. thats some hardcore speculation i may come to regret now, but its my blog so that makes it ok to be an ass.

i do expect america to adhere and be a lot more involved with the un than they have been since ignoring them and going to war in iraq. a joint venture with the eu seems like a must to as obama has called for more cooperation with europe. as far as russia gos i think obama is going to give the kremlin damn near everything the ask for, and luckily its not much. its reasonable in fact, the relocation or scrapping of our ABM shield(anti ballistic missile) plan in the czech republic and poland would save us billions. the shit might not even work anywas, according to MITs ted postol. obama will continue to turn a blind eye to china supporting military dictatorships in africa for natural resources. its really hard to gauge chinas reaction to the obama presidency, something else for time to tell.

the million dollar question for me is what will his policies be in south america. i simply havent seen much on it, i havent exactly looked either though. mexico is a huuge narcostate with a sky high murder rate. it would be interesting to see what type of support theyre going to get under an obama administration.  brazil is another subject of interest as its on its way to becoming a regional hegemon as soon as big oil is back on track. as far as venezuela gos, it has its own problems. i dont think theres a point in mentioning it until the people vote in february on chavez proposal to let the president have an infinite number of terms. as soon as this gos down ill be sure to dig into that.

o yea, obama...please kill robert mugabe through some covert cia action shit. please

Turkey Tries Take Two at EU

Turkey's prime minister recep tayyip erdogan recently named egemen bagis as the chief negotiator in talks with the EU. this means turkey is once again making a push to enter the European Union. It's basicly regional IGO(international governmental organization) that promotes a free exchange of money people and other shit. its an economical force and also a political one as it represents a hefty amount of the world's GDP(gross domestic product) entry would allow turkey to obviously promote the exchange of people(when you are an eu member you are free to move about any of the eu states. youre kind of a citizen of these places too) money and goods with europe.

this doesnt sound like too bad an idea since turkey has or had a spot in the top 25 for GDPs. its in a very important place geopolitically since its a gateway into the middle east, asia, and the black sea and mediterranian. its a very important place for the movement of goods, more importantly, energy. turkey also makes an honest effort not too become the next islamic republic with political parties constantly being disbanded. add that to a growing history at playing mediator in middle east conflicts and it seems like a great idea especially when you consider places like latvia to be members. theyve already hit rock bottom with the expansion of 12 eastern european countries and some of which are dying during the credit crisis for deali
ng with the euro

so whats the problem? well some countries say they dont want to accept any members until their bullshit lisbon treaty is finally accepted. its amazing to see THE PEOPLE vote it down TIME AND TIME AGAIN yet the EU keep putting it back up like "no no no you must have made a mistake" get the fucking hint.  another problem is cyprus is in the EU and they absolutely hate turkey due to a border dispute. they would rather eat shit and die than see turkey in there.

theres also no way countries like france or the uk or italy want a huge influx is muslims entering their country when they already have dying populations. and by dying population i mean more people are dying than are being born. this is the main driving force behind this, but no one wants to admit it. if you think EU memberstates are incapeable of xenophobia just look at italy and the gypsies. i can understand where these countries are coming from but its still kinda fucked up

good luck to turkey, and stfu cyprus

"zeez peepoo zey are...not welcoom in france"-shouldnt have put that in quotations but fuck it. youre still my boy, kozy
