holy shit its been forever March 3rd

i'll just hop right back into it, school got hectic and shit so um yea

israel and palestine are back at it with an exchange of fire

the assassination of guinea-bissaus former president joao bernardo vieira has not been ruled as a coup, its been linked to a conflict with the drug trade in west africa. for those who dont know, west africa is usually a stop along the way for coke heading to europe

times lied and said obama sent a letter to medvedev stating it would end its ballistic misile defense system in return for cooperation in halting irans nuclear program. medvedev denied it, once again the times is writing a bunch of bullshit, supriiiise

with no link cause im too lazy; hillary clinton took her first trip to israel as a member of the cabinet and hamas wasnt impressed at all and theyre expecting the same fucking policies. duh

venezuelas state run oil company petroleos de venezuela will try and cut 40% of production costs because the price of oil is shit and hugo is trying as hard as he can to save money for money on socialist programs

russias state gas company gazprom will now provide gas to another european nation, this one being spain. a "strategic partnership" between the two countries have always come to fruition and they should be meeting yearly to discuss issues that concern the both. i cant think of too many that do

Morgan Tsvangarai Sworn in as Zimbabwe's Prime Minister

countdown until tsvan realizes he has absolutely no power what so ever and that his post is nothing more than a title?

Kadima and Tzipi Livni Get First in Votes in Israel

but it's really up to Israel Beiteinu as far as creating a ruling coalition. if theyre smart theyll make sure the world knows their party exists before fading into obscurity to create a coalition government. come next election they could be looking for first place in votes, so yea. sad times.

i want to note that i did not watch this upon posting, but i trust al jazeera enough to say what needs to be known and you the viewer to watch critically

Russia and Afghanistan

Kyzrgajhfjdhfdstan's Kurmanbek Bakiyev and Russia's Dmitri Medvedev

i considered posting part of a paper i wrote on american foreign policy with russia but i just want to stick to my guns about trying to make this as simple as possible. the paper is all academic and shit so fuck that!  ok its like this

us and russia were kind of about to lockhorns towards the end of the bush administrations run. reason being russia was treated like shit through out the 90s and forced into all types of agreements that wasnt beneficial to it. in the last couple of years or so the us has also been pushing for the entry of former soviet states into the NATO. most notable of them being ukraine and georgia.

these 2 states are waaaay to important for russia to lose to western influence and may be the biggest act of aggression by the us aside from a bullshit missile shield in poland and czech republic.

Obama and Putin

since the start of the obama presidency theres been progress already. its safe to assume obama will scrap the anti missile shield considering russias respose to it was to place short range missiles in the enclave of kaliningrad, which is sandwiched between poland and lithuania. two countries that reallyyyy dont like to see russia behave like this. its been said in the past week that russia will not be placing the missiles there, so yea i guess obama got the message. another issue seems to be the arms treaty and all signs point to this working out just the way the russians want it.

Russia Afghaistand and America

its kind of funny how the ussr bled out in afghanistan thanks to us supporting the mujahadeen and eventually bin laden. im not saying russia is doing the same, but they arent exactly helping YET. NATO supply routes are constantly getting attacked. just today 10 trucks were hit in pakistan which is the home of our major supply route. theyre obviously needs to be an alternative because pakistan cant do shit and well russia is right there. if you want help from any of the stans above afghanistan then you have to go through putin. its his sphere of influence and you have to be prepared to pay the toll. america is slowly starting to understand this. it kind of sped up the process when kyrgyzstan decided to kick america out of a key air force base too

now i dont know much about the military of the stans. i doubt theyre very advanced but when medvedev calls for something equal to NATO i dont think they want to be too far off in the aspect of importance in the region. an alliance between these countries in afghanistan could potentially be as powerful just by being familiar with the area. there is no trade route issue, every state that a supply would need to go through is basicly at each others borders and its support from this organization/russia is what obama NEEDS to win afghanistan. do it or pack your shit because we cant win without it

karzai knows cooperation with russia is a must. he actually has to be in that shithole, there is no eventual withdrawl for him so it made sense to point fingers at americans for the death of civilians. he has to answer to the people. it also made sense for him to buddy up to russia as the power afghanistan will really need to answer to in a couple of years. now hamid karzais presidency will end may 20 with no election but because of his newfound ties with the kremlin theres no way he stays in office. some western friendly pawn will pop up, who i dont know, but it should be interesting to see if america can sell him to afghanistan and the arab world without russia

Why Nobody Cares What Britian Says

if you ask people what is the 2nd best country to the united states...within the united states chances are england will be the answer. its all we know, we have a long history with them and its simply a familiar old white face in history. there was once a time when britian held some power back with churchill.

after ww2 and the germans were defeated and russia began heading towards europe america is practically begged for their business and to stay in europe to fight russia. america agreed but as we all know in return america became the great hegemon for decades on end. britian has pretty much been like an ox pecker on an ox ever since. its only as strong as we are, but now no matter how powerful the us may be the united kingdoms power is slowly fading

a dying population, an influx of arab immigrants that want their own way of life within the state, a weak military outing in afghanistan and iraq, weak political and national will, and now the economic crisis is pretty much the final blow. the uk is falling apart  and before the end of 2009 is will be painfully obvious. news media should stop pointing out any type of foreign policy of britian like it matters anymore. dont waste our time
